Grigg appointed Director of Customer/Credit Services

David Theobald, Controller, and Lori Maxim, Vice President of West Sound Operations for Sound Publishing, Inc., are pleased to announce the appointment of Deb Grigg to the position of Director of Customer/ Credit Services, effective January 1, 2011. This new position of CCS will allow for improved customer service with our advertisers and newspaper offices. Grigg will be tasked with improving credit policy and administrative training initiatives.

As CCS, Grigg will head the customer service and credit/collection team for Sound’s accounting department. Together they will collaborate to improve upon our present systems and give greater support and training to our newspaper offices. Grigg will report directly to David Theobald.

Grigg brings a wealth of newspaper experience and customer service knowledge to this position. She began her newspaper career as a classified advertising rep in 1972 working for the Daily Report in Ontario, California. She worked as a Classified Manager for the Lake Oswego Review and The Journal American Newspapers until she was recruited by Sound in 1990. Over the past 20 years Grigg created a corporate classified team that incorporated all 31 community papers and Nickel Publications. Her successful call center built strong revenues and coordinated classified operations company wide. She has represented Sound with her strong commitment to community service as United Way company campaign chair and former United Way board member. She has also been a board member for West Sound Educational Consortium for the past 8 years. Her skills as a trainer and speaker have been honed over the years at numerous WNPA conventions, Black Press retreats, Louisiana Press Association and SNA Conventions.
